Inclusive Social Spaces

Platforms should create inclusive social spaces for diverse groups of users – ensuring that all features are accessible for all users.

How does this mitigate hate?

When social spaces are designed without concern for all groups of users, the space will become an echo chamber of ideas and perspectives from a narrower range of people. Providing access to diverse groups of users (different abilities, backgrounds, political views, ethnicities), the space will become less of an echo chamber for amplifying hateful behavior.
